Make shared places work for the people who use them.

Write for us

We welcome pitches that help readers think more clearly about shared places: how they are arranged, used, cared for and made easier to take part in. Send proposals through the Contact page.

What makes a strong pitch

A good pitch has a defined question, a clear reader and a useful angle. Tell us what the piece will explain, compare or help someone notice, and why the subject belongs in a publication about communal spaces. Specificity beats a grand claim about changing everything.

Useful subjects

We are interested in considered explanations of room layouts, shared objects, access, participation and the habits that keep communal places usable. Pieces should stand on their own without relying on invented experience, unsupported claims or advice that requires a professional assessment.

How to propose it

Use the Contact page to send a short outline, a working title and a few lines about your approach. Include the intended reader and any sources or examples the piece would rely on. A proposal is not a guarantee of publication, and we may suggest a narrower angle.
